The City of Des Moines now has a free issue-reporting app that is available for iPhone and Android. The myDSMmobile app uses smartphone technology in order to make it easier for residents to report issues they find within the community.
After you've downloaded the free app, you simply take a photo, add details, and press submit. Your phone does the rest by sending exact GPS coordinates which will allow crews to know exactly where the issue is. The photo and any additional information you send will ensure that the right crew and equipment are sent out ensuring the City is able to take care of the problem quickly. Note: myDSMmobile should not be used to report emergencies. For any emergency, please call 911.
With the myDSMmobile app you will be able to track the progress of the issue you reported. You’ll be able to see when it is assigned and its status, all via your phone. Still want to report the old way - no problem. You can still report problems by phone (283-4500) or via online forms on our website.
